Summary of Compiled Stats for Offensive players in 1st 5 seasons of the league
 In the tabs above, I have devised a Ranking system which analyzes compiled stats of all batters who have played at least 1 game and assigned them a number based on their value to the league at their position. I gave 5 points to the top ranked player in each of the following categories: Games Played, Avg, OBP, SLG, and OPS (5 points to the top 3 Outfielders). I gave 4 points if the player finished in the top 10 of those statistical categories (top 30 for Outfielders). I gave 3 points if the player has an alternate secondary position other than DH. I gave 2 points if the player was in the top 30 of the noted stats above (top 90 for outfielders). I gave 1 point if the player was in the top 50 (top 150 for outfielders). I didn't award points for the statistical rankings if the player has played less than 10 games and/or had less than 10 at-bats. Nonetheless there are holes in the Value Point system for players like Dave Collins, Mike Pagliarulo and others who have good statistical Numbers, but have minimal number of at-bats. I also didn't account for Monte Ward who is IF/OF. It also doesn't fairly factor in rookies added this season or after season 3 who may not have been able to compile games played as much as those in the database from day 1. It doesn't factor in a player's speed or defensive prowess (or lack thereof). But overall, I think it panned out pretty well. Look at the individual tabs to see how players are "ranked" and maybe it will prove useful in the drafting process.

Outfielders - .267 Avg, .330 OBP, .419 SLG, .749 OPS (228 Outfielders have appeared in a game - 82.3% of all OF in the database)

Third Base - .250 Avg, .315 OBP, .392 SLG, .707 OPS (67 Third Basemen have appeared in a game - 73.6% of all 3B in the database)

Second Base - .253 Avg, .316 OBP, .371 SLG, .687 OPS (71 Second Basemen have appeared in a game - 74.0% of all 2B in the database)

Catchers - .242 Avg, .303 OBP, .372 SLG, .676 OPS (77 Catchers have appeared in a game - 84.6% of all C in the database)
